Green Features Providing Value to Residential Homes

Realtors will have the opportunity to learn about green features for residential properties that provide value or benefit to buyers and sellers. Not all green features provide dollar value to a residential property as some potentially will save the homeowner money becoming a selling factor. A Realtor knowing the value vs benefit to the homeowner through the eyes of an appraiser will help in pricing green features in a home. The course will give Realtors knowledge of what is needed for closing a real estate transaction for residential properties with green features, i.e., TREC forms and lender requirements for various loan types. Knowledge is power in the real estate transaction and will potentially save the buyer and/or seller money and frustration in the real estate transaction. The more a Realtor knows about green features that impact the transaction or add value will allow the Realtor to point out the benefits to the buyers and/or sellers and use in marketing as selling features.
