Private Septic Systems for Residential Homes

Realtors will have the opportunity to learn about septic systems for residential properties. The basics of how a septic system functions, maintenance, red flags of a failing septic system and how to protect the drain field. The course will give Realtors knowledge of what is needed for closing a real estate transaction for residential properties with a septic system, i.e., TREC forms and lender requirements for various loan types. Knowledge is power in the real estate transaction and will potentially save the buyer and/or seller money and frustration in the real estate transaction. The more a Realtor knows about septic systems will allow them to point out the benefits and/or potential red flags to a buyer and/or seller.
